Meet The Owners
Cindy Liska, OTR, CEO
Cindy graduated from Texas Women’s University in 1992 with a degree in occupational therapy. She opened her first practice in 2006, but when she saw the need for pediatric therapy services in our community, she sold it in 2012 to open Believe Therapies with Kristie to provide greater access to care for children. For Cindy, being a resource for her clients, families, and our community is the most rewarding part of her job.
Cindy and her husband have raised two children together and recently welcomed their first granddaughter. Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 17:20: “And He said to them, ‘Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.’”
Kristie Herring, COO
Kristie graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2001 with a degree in accounting and finance. She volunteered for a hippotherapy practice, where she earned her certification as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor from PATH International. Later, she became certified in elementary education and switched careers because she loves working with children. She teamed up with Cindy to open Believe Therapies in 2012.
Kristie lives in Huntsville, TX with her husband and daughter, all of whom are active members of Branded for Christ Church. Kristie is also on the board of the Youth Rodeo Association (YRA) and a Director for the Walker County Fair Association. Her motto for pediatric therapy is, “Every child can be better,” and she is proud that her clinic provides children the opportunity to excel in everything they do!
